In Canada, we have seen plenty of big names emerge and disappear over the past few years, but one company that has emerged as a leader in the Canadian web host space is H2O.
H2o is a company that offers a suite of solutions that includes a free tier for new customers, as well as a subscription-based model for its existing customers.
The company’s CEO, Andrew J. Tanguay, has a lot to say about why H2, which was founded in 1999, has grown to become one of the most successful Canadian web hosts.
“It’s been really important to us that the service be as simple as possible,” said Tanguoy in an interview with CBC News.
“We wanted to make it easy for our customers to do what they want with our site.
It’s about simple simplicity.
It helps people get what they need from the web.”
While the company may be a Canadian company, it has operations in several other countries.
In Canada’s North, for example, it owns a major hosting provider called Cloudfront.
The latter is owned by Tanguow, who says the company is more about simplicity than anything else.
“We’ve got a great team here at Cloudfront,” said Jody Burt, CEO of Cloudfront, in an email.
“The customer-facing part is our most important job.”
H2O also offers a free, two-year trial of its service to existing customers, which is available in the United States, Europe, Australia, and New Zealand.
That trial is available on its website, where users are able to sign up for a free trial.
While the service is free, there are some perks.
Those with an existing H2A subscription can choose to upgrade to a full year of access, or they can pay $3.99 per month.
While H2 is still a young company, there’s no denying its success.
“It’s really nice to have a bunch of guys with the same goal and drive and passion,” said Burt.
