Microsoft is selling domain names on a “for free” basis for its Windows 8 customers.
For $25, you can get the full Windows 8 domain name, or you can pay a premium of $60 for the full version, which includes the operating system, plus some extra features, like the ability to customize your user interface.
The offer will be available for free for the next 12 months.
To use the free service, head to Windows.com, sign in to your account, and click on the “get” button.
The Microsoft Store will give you a link to the page for the free Windows 8 version, and you can add the domain name to your Microsoft account by entering the email address associated with your Microsoft Account.
The domain name is listed as a “premium” domain name that you can purchase for $25.
