If you’ve got a website that needs to be hosted by a traditional server, consider upgrading to an alternative.
As part of Google’s recent move to embrace new cloud hosting solutions, the search giant is offering free domain names for anyone who signs up for an account.
The program, which starts today, lets users sign up for free with one of the many services offered by the company.
The site will then automatically host the domain name on the new service, which costs $29 a month for basic plan, $39 a month and $49 a year.
Google is also providing free domain name registration to anyone who buys a domain name through its Google Cloud Platform service.
Google said the new domain name offer was based on “the best and fastest available” hosting options.
Domain name registration is available for a limited time for Google Cloud, a free service that’s available for $19.99 a month.
